The Broken Mirror: A Tale Of Two Worlds

In Esterland, a world meet with magic, lived a young girl named Iris. She was the seventh daughter of the most admired magician, Mirrabel. Unlike the rest of her family, however, Iris was born without a trace of magical abilities.
Iris grew up watching her siblings practice complex spells and managing fascinating magical substances, and yet, she never felt envious. Gifted with a curious mind and an adventurous soul, Iris was enraptured by the mysterious world beyond the magical realm – the world of simple humans.
One day, she found a broken mirror lying in her father's study, shimmering mysteriously. Mirrabel, noticing her intrigue, smiled, 'This mirror is not meant for our world. It serves as a bridge to the human world, but its magic is now lost.'
Fuelled by curiosity, months passed as Iris attempted to mend the mirror. One day, as she gently touched the mirror with her tear-soaked hand, something extraordinary happened. The mirror glittered with a thousand colors, and before she knew it, she found herself standing in the middle of a bustling city.
In awe of the mechanical beasts roaring past her, ground reaching for the skies and humans hustling around in unusual attire, Iris began her adventure in the human world. Taking the name Iris Smith, she found work at a local bookstore called 'The Nook'. Reading human tales, she learned about emotions, dreams, and fears that became a new kind of magic for her.
In her journey, she met John, a charming human with a heart of gold. John, unaware of Iris's true identity, fell in love with her simplicity and infected spirit. Iris too, found her heart swayed by John's kindness and decided to confess her secret. She took him to the still active mirror and showed him her reality. Seeing the magic behind Iris's existence, John was scared yet ridiculously fascinated.
Despite their differing worlds, John and Iris managed to build a bridge of love between them. They spent their days in Esterland learning wand magic and nights exploring the human world's technological magic.
One day, the magical council of Esterland discovered Mirrabel’s broken mirror being used. It was forbidden to expose their world to humans, and so John was deemed a threat. The council took him prisoner, and a trial against Mirrabel was announced, spiraling Iris into desperation and fear.
Summoning her newfound courage and strength, Iris embarked on a dangerous adventure to the Forbidden Forest, rumored to possess a spell that would erase the magic of any object or being. With time against her, she battled beasts, managed riddles, and defeated forest ghouls to finally reach the magic pool, where the spell was engraved on a stone.
Upon her return, she found Mirrabel sentenced to frozen exile, and John standing on the council's platform. As the council began the process of draining his memory, Iris ran forward, holding the mirror high and recited the spell. The mirror’s light went out, and John began to plummet to the ground. But he got up, and his eyes still held recognition for Iris.
The council was astonished, but seeing the bravery and willingness of Iris to protect her world, they took the unprecedented step of sparing both Mirrabel and John. Iris, an Esterland girl with no magic, had used human magic called true love to save her world.
From then on, Iris lived between both worlds- reading human tales in the morning, practicing wand magic at night, and forever cherishing her unique journey. And in Esterland, the tale of the seventh daughter of Mirrabel, the girl without magic who had saved them all, became a legend.
The broken mirror, though it lost its magic, was cherished as a symbol of an extraordinary adventure, an emblem of affection between the two worlds and stood the testament of an intriguing tale - A tale of magic, a tale of love.
