Rise of the Star-Crossed Stargazer

Once upon a time in the small town name Sidereal was a boy named Orion. Orion was unlike his contemporaries, as the stars allured him more than the mysteries of the earthly world. His father, Helios was the most skilled blacksmith in the town, while his mother, Luna, was a serene, beautiful weaver who worked with silver threads, woven to replicate the beauty of the moon. Orion was carrying the legacy of his parents, but his heart yearned for the cosmos.
When the night blanketed the world, everyone in Sidereal would retire, but Orion used to sneak onto the mountaintop with his ancient-looking telescope. The myriad of stars sprawled across the heavens, mesmerizing him every time he gazed upwards. His obsession for stars grew every day. His devotion earned him the title of 'Stargazer,' and indeed he became 'Orion the Stargazer.'
One fateful night, Orion noticed a falling star that outshone everything in sight. Driven by curiosity, he followed the streak of incandescence. He found a dazzling gem in a small crater formed due to the impact. In reality, it wasn't merely a gem but a piece, a essence of the cosmos itself. Picking it up, Orion unveiled a celestial being.
Andromeda, as the being introduced herself, was a Star princess from the constellation Pegasus. On a journey across systems, she had been caught in a meteor shower and crashed on Earth. Andromeda was trapped within that gem, and Orion's touch had freed her.
Over time, Orion and Andromeda grew close to each other. Orion showed her the beauty of Earth, while Andromeda narrated cosmic tales of distant stars and galaxies. In the solitude of the night, under the watchful eyes of trillions of stars, the pair fell in love.
However, their union disrupted the cosmic balance. Zeus, the Celestial King, thundered his disapproval. He commanded Andromeda to return to Pegasus. Andromeda was torn between her duty as a princess and love for Orion. A heart overwhelmed with love always wins, she chose Orion.
Zeus was infuriated and cursed them, petrifying them both into separate constellations. 'Orion' in the Northern Hemisphere and 'Andromeda' in the Southern Hemisphere, eternally looking at each other, never to meet again, an edict of separation that shook both earth and the celestial heights.
Heart-wrenched, the people of Sidereal approached Sage Hyperion, known for his wisdom and arcane knowledge. Moved by their despair, the sage decided to help. On a moonless night, as darkness loomed large, Hyperion invoked 'Astron' – the supreme cosmic energy, pleading for the lovers.
Astron agreed to partly lift the curse. It made the celestial poles wobble due to which the constellations Orion and Andromeda met at the great celestial equator once every year. But it came with a condition, the lovers could meet but could never touch. And thus, every year, when Orion and Andromeda meet at the celestial equator, a cosmic phenomenon occurs in the Sidereal, a shower of shooting stars.
The tale of Orion the Stargazer and Andromeda, the Star princess, echoes across the cosmos, reminding beings of all realms about the boundless power of love. The town of Sidereal stands testimony to their love, where every year people watch the cosmic spectacle of shooting stars as two constellations meet, a tale of star-crossed lovers imbibed into the very fabric of their existence.
