Prince Talon and the Dragon Velkor

Once upon a time in the distant kingdom of Maravia, a gracious king, Alden, and her majestically beautiful queen, Aleria, ruled. Both of them were loved dearly by their subjects. Their rule was that of prosperity and peace. But the kingdom's tranquillity was often shattered by the dragon, Velkor, who lived in the mountains that bordered Maravia.
One day, it was announced that the royal couple was expecting their first child. The entire kingdom was overjoyed and festivities filled the air. However, the prophecy of a wise old sage loomed eerily. The sage claimed that the child would be the saviour or destroyer of the kingdom, based on how they would wield their power. The queen, concerned, decided to raise their child with utmost love and virtue, so they'd only be a saviour.
The day arrived and a baby boy, Prince Talon, was born. Astonishingly, he was born with a unique dragon-shaped birthmark on his shoulder, making the prophecy seem more pertinent. As the prince grew up, he displayed a unique relationship with all the animals. He espoused empathy and respect for all beings and was adored by the kingdom's inhabitants.
On his eighteenth birthday, Velkor attacked Maravia once more fiercely than ever. Desperate to save his kingdom, Prince Talon embarked on a treacherous journey to confront Velkor. With his heart filled with love for his people and fearless courage, he climbed up the steep mountains and stood in front of the terrifyingly monstrous dragon.
Instead of attacking him with a sword, the prince talked. He asked Velkor why he attacked their peaceful kingdom, and to everyone's surprise, Velkor, known for his fire and fury, responded with words instead of exhaling fire. Velkor had been lashing out because the people of Maravia encroached on his land, leaving him starved and his home destroyed.
Touched by Velkor's dilemma, Prince Talon made a pact. Maravians would help rebuild Velkor's home and share their resources, and in return, Velkor would protect Maravia from other neighboring hostile kingdoms. Velkor agreed, and harmony was reborn.
News of Prince Talon's courage and wisdom spread throughout the kingdom. His ability to understand, empathize and befriend the dragon declared him not the destroyer, but the saviour of Maravia. His actions justified his mother's belief in him and, most importantly, made him worthy of his unusual dragon-shaped birthmark.
Queen Aleria hugged her son, tears streaming down her face, as she said, 'You have proven that the power of love, understanding, and respect for all beings can indeed save the world. Never has a mother been prouder.'
As the people celebrated the brave Prince's victory, they also learned an important lesson that day. They learned that every creature, large or small, has its place in this world. And each has emotions, needs, and deserves respect. The dragon-shaped birthmark on the Prince's shoulder turned shiny gold, signifying his brave heart's golden bond with the dragon Velkor.
King Alden handed over the kingdom to Prince Talon, saying, 'With your wisdom and compassion, the kingdom will flourish in your hands.' With that, he crowned his son as the new king of Maravia. King Talon and Velkor protected their kingdom together and ruled a new era of understanding and empathy, making their tale echo for eternity.
