Once Upon A Tower
Once upon a time in the middle of a vast kingdom, a high tower perched on a stony crag overlooked a swirling sea. This tower, secluded and bound by magic, was home to a sweet-natured girl named Isolde, who was born with a unique gift. She had the power to heal people, animals, and even plants with a simple touch.
She had been confined to the tower since her early childhood by a malicious sorceress named Morwen who sought to exploit Isolde's gift for her wicked motives. Isolde, with her long golden hair and eyes as blue as the sea below, longed to escape the tower and see the world. Days turned into weeks, weeks into months, and months into years, but the malicious Morwen showed no sign of releasing her.
One day, in the heart of the kingdom, a tournament was organized to celebrate the 20th birthday of Prince Richard, known for his bravery and kind heart. Brimming with excitement and festive cheers, the tournament attracted knights from across the kingdom. However, beyond the revelry, a tragedy struck: during a jousting matchup, Prince Richard fell from his horse, severely injuring himself.
The kingdom's best healers tried all methods to treat the prince, but to no avail. Word of Prince Richard’s condition spread across the kingdom, and eventually reached the confines of the tower. Hearing this, Isolde's heart filled with an overwhelming desire to aid the Prince, thus making her even more determined to escape.
Isolde approached Morwen, begging her to allow her to help the prince. Initially, Morwen rebuffed her, but as the cunning sorceress started thinking about the benefits of having the royal family in her debt, she agreed, under one condition: Isolde would have to return immediately after healing the prince.
With Morwen's assistance, Isolde descended the tower and embarked on the journey to the kingdom. Her travel was filled with enchanting sights, unfamiliar sounds, and an array of emotions. Finally, Isolde arrived at the royal castle and without wasting time, went to the ailing prince. She placed her hands on his injured body, let her healing power flow, and just like that, as if touched by a miracle, Prince Richard started to improve.
Word of the miraculous recovery spread throughout the kingdom. Isolde was universally celebrated, and she was promised any reward she sought. In the midst of all the celebration, however, Isolde was reluctant to make her wish known – the wish for her freedom.
Seeing Isolde's conflict, Prince Richard asked her what troubled her. Isolde told him about her life confined in the tower, and her longing for freedom. The prince, feeling indebted for his life and moved by her story, confronted Morwen, demanding Isolde's freedom. Initially reluctant, Morwen finally acquiesced, after realizing she would still indirectly hold power via Isolde's connection to the royal family.
Free at last, Isolde was overcome with joy and gratitude. Over time, Isolde and Prince Richard fell in love, and their bond, born out of a shared experience and compassion, became a beacon of happiness throughout the kingdom. Isolde used her healing powers for the benefit of the kingdom's people, while Prince Richard ruled with bravery and intellect drawn from his near-death experience. They proved that the power of freedom, kindness, and bravery could overcome the bleakest of circumstances, creating a story for the ages.
