Markel: Rise of the Blacksmith King

In the land of Astria, there was an ancient prophecy. It spoke of a hero, born of magic, slated to rise in the kingdom's darkest hour and claim the Throne of Eldridge. This hero came to be known as Markel, a boy of humble beginnings, born to a blacksmith in the village of Shale.
Markel in his early years learned the art of blacksmithing under his father's guidance while honing his inherent magic abilities in secret. His mother, a clandestine sorceress, secretly guided him past the kingdom's punitive laws against the common people wielding magic. It wasn't until his 17th summer that a fateful incident would change his life forever.
Scouts from the Dark Legion, led by the malicious warlock Thorn, invaded Shale. The village was devastated, Markel's parents were slain, and Markel was captured. But, instead of becoming another enslaved soul, Markel's magic erupted in raw, unchecked fury. Thorn was intrigued by his power and took him instead to his dark fortress to be trained in the dark arts.
Over the next years, Markel learned to control his burgeoning powers, all the while plotting for revenge and end Thorn's reign of terror. Markel also secretly used his blacksmithing skills to forge the Armor of Eldridge, a legendary suit of armor that could amplify a magic-wielder's powers.
The blacksmith magician waited patiently for the right time to strike, gathering allies amongst other captives and instilling in them hope and courage. As time went by, a rebellion began to take form in Thorn's castle, threatening to overthrow the Dark Legion.
Meanwhile, Thorn had been trying to decipher the ancient prophecy about the Throne of Eldridge, aiming to claim the power for himself. Unraveling the prophecy became an obsession for Thorn, leading him to overlook the rebellious undercurrent growing in his castle.
The rebellion sprung into action on the night Thorn attempted to seize the throne. A fierce battle erupted, fireballs flew, swords clashed, and magic-laden wind roared through the castle. Markel donned the armor he had secretly crafted and charged with newfound strength and determination.
Exhausted but relentless, Markel confronted Thorn. But in the heat of their duel, Thorn sprung a trap, binding Markel in a cage of dark magic. All seemed lost until Markel, with a roar of desperation, summoned his raw magical strength, shattering the cage, and driving his magical blade into Thorn.
Thorn was overpowered, his dark magic waning, and the fortress began to crumble around them. Markel, using his last ounce of strength, banished Thorn into the Void. The fortress crumbled completely, but Markel and his band of rebels managed to escape, marking the end of the Dark Legion.
Markel, the blacksmith's son, the magician, the reluctant hero, claimed the Throne of Eldridge and vowed to use his rule to bring about a new era of peace and prosperity. The kingdom sang songs of their new king, their savior, born of magic and steel.
In the face of adversity, this unlikely hero had found his inner strength and courage. Through pain and loss, he had discovered the power within him and the power of unity. Markel's tale was one to be remembered through the ages, a tale of a humble boy who became a king.
