Love Through The Pages

Once upon a time, in a small town named Serenity, there was a secluded library which people said had a spirit of its own. This old library had managed to blend with time while preserving the serenity and silence of the centuries gone by. Among the many regular visitors, there was a woman named Rose, whose love for books was as profound as the ocean.
Rose was an avid reader, losing herself in tales of adventure, romance, and mystery every chance she could get. The library was her second home, and the books, her best friends. Ironically, Rose was a wallflower, too shy to express her feelings to anyone or venture beyond her comfort zone, which was her beloved library.
One day, while she was scouring through the mystery section, she stumbled upon an old, dusty book that seemed to have hidden itself away from the world. The title of the book was 'The Time Traveler’s Love.' Intrigued, Rose began reading it.
As she opened the book, she noticed that the first page was dreadfully blank except for a note on the center - 'To make the story come alive, remember, you must believe completely.' It was a puzzling message, but Rose, being an obedient reader, nodded her head in understanding and started reading.
The story began unfolding - it was about a man named William, a scientist from the late 1800s, who invents a time-traveling device and is trapped in the future, which was merely the present time where Rose lived. He was a true gentleman, kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable, characteristics which Rose had always admired. As she read further, she felt a strange connection with this character.
One day, while engrossed in the book, Rose was astounded to see a tall, handsome man, much like William, standing in the library near her favourite section - 'Mystery.' She watched as he carried himself with the elegance of an old-world gentleman. The very sight of him made her heart flutter.
Over the days, she saw him more often, noticing he appeared only when she was reading the book. They developed an unspoken bond. He would sometimes leave notes recommending books, and she would leave replies expressing her thoughts. With each passing day, Rose found herself being drawn towards him.
One autumn evening, she gathered the courage to confront him. To her surprise, he greeted her warmly and introduced himself as William. The momentarily creepy coincidence of him sharing the name with the character of her book paled by the charming conversation they had afterward. The pair quickly grew closer, sharing an affinity for literature and the tranquil silence of the library.
However, when she revealed the book 'The Time Traveler’s Love' to William and how eerily similar he was to the character, his face grew pale. He confessed that he was indeed the character from the book, stuck in this timeline. The book was the medium that connected their worlds, and the stronger her belief in the story, the longer he could stay.
Initially, Rose found it hard to believe, but the evidence was too much to ignore. Their relationship continued to grow, filled with treasured moments in the quiet corner of the library. Yet, it was in the back of their minds that the moment she finished the book, their time together would be over.
Finally, she was on the last page. Rose hesitated, teardrops smudging the ink on the page. But with a heavy heart, she made a decision, she wrote on the last page - 'And the Time Traveler decided to stay in the future, where he found love.' Tears streamed down her face as she closed the book and looked up.
Much to her surprise, William was still there, a beaming smile on his face. He said, 'You rewrote my destiny, Rose. Now, I can live here, with you.'
From that day forward, Rose and William lived their simple yet magical love story in the quaint library of Serenity. They lived happily, proving that time, indeed, had no power over true love.
