Light of the Last Guardian🔊

In the ancient land of Illysia, which was forever bathed in sunlight, there existed a beautiful, giant crystal. It was said that this crystal was the source of all life and light on Illysia. The crystal required a guardian, chosen by destiny every century, to protect and nurture it. However, for the first time in history, no guardian emerged when the previous guardian's tenure ended, and the crystal's light began to wane.

A young blacksmith named Aiden, living in the outskirts of Illysia, started to notice the diminishing light and her plants withering. A sense of dread filled the air. Driven by the need to restore life's vitality, Aiden decided to take matters into her own hands.

Aiden embarked on a long and arduous journey to the heart of Illysia, where the crystal resided. Battling fierce monsters, enduring extreme weather conditions, and overcoming personal fears, Aiden's resolve was constantly tested, but her determination never wavered.

Eventually, Aiden reached the cerulean tower where the crystal was housed. She found herself in front of the crystal, which was dull and lifeless. With no idea of how to restore it, Aiden reached tentatively towards it. At her touch, the crystal suddenly pulsed fiercely, a blinding light radiated, and she found herself being pulled inside the crystal.

While inside, Aiden was trapped in an endless void. A soft voice echoed, the voice of the crystal, revealing that she was the chosen guardian but her destiny had been masked due to the growing darkness in Illysia. The crystal bestowed upon her its remaining energy and all the knowledge of the previous guardians.

Transported back outside the crystal, armed with new knowledge and filled with the crystal’s primordial energy, she knew what she must do. She started the sacred ritual which required all her blacksmith skills, her strength, and her spirit. She hammered, modeled, shaped, and poured her full energy into the dying crystal.

Gradually, the crystal responded, absorbing her life force, her hopes, dreams, and fears. It began to throb gently, filling the room with a soft glow. It eventually intensified into a dazzling display of lights. The light pierced the clouds, reaching every corner of Illysia, bringing back life where it had started to fade.

Unfortunately, Aiden was left gravely weakened. The crystal, revitalized, sensed her fading life and entwined her spirit with its energy, preserving her life and transforming her into the last guardian of light, a being of pure energy, immortal and powerful.

The news of the crystal's revival and the last guardian spread throughout the land. Illysia entered an era of peace and prosperity, forever protected by the unwavering light of the last guardian, Aiden.

Basking under the renewed sunlight, Illysians sang praises of their new guardian. They were unaware of the sacrifice made, but Aiden didn't need the fame or recognition. Secluded in the cerulean tower, she continued her eternal watch, bringing life where there's darkness, serving as the Guardian of Light.
