Light From The Lighthouse

In a bustling town cloaked by a milieu of obscure woods and interspersed with lakes, there was an ancient lighthouse. The lighthouse was unusual because it did not stand guard along the seaside, as most lighthouses do, but instead was situated beside a deep, vast lake, glittering under the northern star. Despite its location, it had saved many lonely hearts from the overpowering dark.
Orphan children Billy and Rose found the lighthouse one summer evening as they were exploring the woods that cozied the town. The lighthouse stood tall and proud, its white stone structure kissed by the dying sun, as if proudly adorning blush. Out of curiosity and awe, Billy and Rose began to frequent the lighthouse.
The lighthouse had a tender soul residing in it, an old Keeper, who was as much a part of it as the bricks that constituted its proud structure. The Keeper, named Raymond, was kind, old, and filled with tales as numerous as the stars above. The children became friends with Raymond and began spending lots of their time at the lighthouse.
One day, Raymond confided in them, 'Children, this lighthouse has a secret.' His voice quavered but his eyes flickered with an inner fire. 'It's not the regular lighthouse that shows way to the lost ships. It shows way to lost souls. The souls who have been overpowered by the darkness, who have lost their hope, the ones fighting desperation, this lighthouse spreads light into their lives.'
Billy and Rose listened, their hearts beating madly, their faces rapt in attention. As the sun descended below the horizon, Raymond flipped a switch, and a powerful light spiraled out of the lighthouse, cutting through the dark, touching the farthest peaks of the woods, and gliding over the vast lake, sending shimmers through its calm waters.
Raymond explained, 'Every light that disperses from here carries a tale. A tale of hope, a tale of resurrection after falling hard, a tale of fighting the odds and emerging victorious.' From then on, Billy and Rose had one duty, to spread the word about the powers of the lighthouse to the lost souls of the town.
Words spread like wildfire, the town stirred up, hope ignited where it had been extinguished a while ago. Every night, people started gathering around the lighthouse, opening up their hearts to the tales of resurrection, letting the light guide them to the path of hope and courage.
The lighthouse did not just help lost souls, it helped Billy and Rose too. The loneliness, the feeling of being orphaned gradually subsided. The lighthouse became their beacon of hope, their tales of courage their shield against negativity.
One fine evening, when Billy, Rose, and the townsfolk gathered around the lighthouse, they found that Raymond was gone. His departure was as mysterious as his arrival. The only thing that was left were the tales, the lighthouse, and a note that read - 'Don't stop spreading the light.'
Years later, Billy and Rose turned into the guardians of the lighthouse, spreading not just the light but also hope, courage - all with the tales Raymond left behind. The lighthouse stood there, unperturbed, the light amidst their dark, the beacon showing them the path redolent of hope and courage.
And thus, in a small bustling town cloaked by a milieu of obscure woods, interspersed with lakes, an ancient lighthouse still stands. It doesn’t act as a navigational facial point for ships on oceans, but as a beacon of hope for lost souls, cutting through the dark, waking them up to the dawn of hope and courage. The lighthouse has not just saved many from the overpowering dark, but continues to do so even today.
