King Alexander and The Lost Dragon
Once upon a time, in the distant kingdom of Argentdale, nestled amongst the towering snow-capped peaks and verdant valleys, existed an unusual breed of dragons. These majestic creatures were known for their silver scales that glowed under the moonlight, earning them the name - The Silver Scaled Dragons.
Just as Argentdale was known for its dragons, it was also known for its kind-hearted king, Alexander Argentum. The striking thing about King Alexander was that despite his alluring and commanding exterior, he was a humble and simple man at heart. Always attentive to his subjects, he was loved by all.
One spring morning, citizens of Argentdale were thrown into a state of distress, hearing the news of a newborn dragon flying off into the unknown. It was tradition in Argentdale that every newborn dragon would stay in the Palace until their scales were strong enough to bear the rigours of the outside world. It was unheard of for a hatchling to leave prematurely.
Silver, the little hatchling, attracted by the scents and sounds of the world outside, had taken flight in the middle of the night. Trying to fly further, he had lost his way back to the Palace. Silver was lost, helpless, frightened, and amidst the unchartered territories.
In the meantime, King Alexander, having heard about Silver's departure, decided to embark on a jou through the treacherous valleys and dangerous peaks to bring him back. The King knew the risks but was steady. He loved each of his subjects and losing a single one was a catastrophe for him.
The journey was not easy. King Alexander had to fight monstrous creatures, traverse treacherous terrains and endure the chill, biting winds. Along the way, he met a recluse, who had the power to communicate with animals. He offered to help the King in exchange for a promise; he asked the King to conserve the vast forestlands of Argentdale. King Alexander willingly agreed to the recluse's terms. Guided by the recluse's gift, they set out on the last leg of their journey.
They found Silver trembling, hiding from a pack of wolves under a snow-covered tree. King Alexander, with the help of his knights, managed to subdue the wolves and rescue Silver. They returned the little dragon to Argentdale amidst grand celebrations.
King Alexander honoured his word; he declared Argentdale's forests as protected lands, hunting as illegal and promoted the conservation of all living creatures. He was hailed as 'Savior of Dragons' and 'Protector of the Forest'. And so, Argentdale flourished under the sheltering wings of the Silver Scaled Dragons and the compassionate rule of King Alexander.
Silver, the adventurous dragon, grew older, wiser, and more cautious. He never forgot his risky adventure and the King's selfless daring rescue. He became the King's most loyal protector and a symbol of loyalty itself in Argentdale.
This tale is passed down from generation to generation, reminding the citizens of Argentdale about the value of every life, the courage of their King, and the importance of living in harmony with nature.
