Journey to Echo Mountain

Once upon a time, in a world not unlike our own, nestled between the realms of myth and reality, was a tiny hamlet named 'Aylesworth'. Inhabited by a friendly farming community, its innocent simplicity was the envy of neighbouring regions.
Aylesworth was surrounded by emerald hills, cascading rivers, and a notoriously peculiar Echo Mountain. This mountain, a source of fascination and fear among the denizens, had been named so for its property to echo back not just the sound, but the emotions carried by the voice. Pose it a happy greeting, it responded cheerfully; challenge it with anger, and it retaliated with a thunderous vibe.
Miles away from the heart of Aylesworth lived a young, audacious lad named Oscar. Oscar wasn't particularly handsome or exceptional, yet his neighbors could not help but be drawn to his charismatic persona and riotous tales of bravado. Oscar, an adventurous spirit, harbored a venture one response the Echo Mountain had yet to echo - Love.
On a sunny morning, Oscar tied his boots, straightened his fedora, and embarked on the mission that could etch his name in the folklore of Aylesworth. Armed with a heart brimming with love and the face of a mirthful braggart, he began his journey to the legendary Echo Mountain.
Peering to Echo Mountain, Oscar yelled an 'I love you', waiting with an anticipated breath for the echo. But alas! All he heard was an echo of his own words, devoid of any emotion. Dejected, he assumed his love was superficial and retreated.
Oscar sought advice from the wise-old Gideon, the hermit living on the outercasts of Aylesworth. Known to possess knowledge vast as the dark abyss, and experience as long as a timeless saga, Gideon fathomed Oscar's debacle and bestowed his knowledge, 'My son, real love reverberates from the depth of soul, and your endeavor reflects, but vanity. Selfless love, and love for the mountain, that should be your calling.'
Armed with Gideon's wisdom, Oscar ventured again, this time void of any ego or superfluity. He gazed at the Mountain, not as a challenge to be won, but as an entity deserving of his love. He cried out to the mountain, 'I love you, for what you are, not for what you can give.' Buttd the mountain echoed back Oscar's words, imbued with the warmth and tenderness that only love can incite.
Triumphant, he trod back, radiating the love he'd professed and received in return. Upon his return, he was greeted with an awestruck crowd, igniting a spark of inspiration in their hearts, giving way to a newfound respect for Echo Mountain. Even in the years after Oscar's departure from this world, his tale lived on, teaching love, humility, and courage to generations, reminding them of a lad whose love echoed through the formidable Echo Mountain.
