Meticulously guarded by an ancient order of celestial beings on the asterism of Orion's belt, the Moonstone's power was used to maintain harmony in the vast cosmic abyss.
But a treacherous act by Zephlon, an exiled being, led to the theft of the Moonstone. His aim, to harness its powers and conquer the universe. Leaving Orion's belt in a chaotic spiral, the protectors dispatched their finest warrior, Alaric, to retrieve the Moonstone.
The chase led Alaric towards Earth, a developing planet teeming with diverse life forms at the edge of the Milky Way. Upon arrival, Alaric assumed a human form to blend in but soon got fascinated by humans and their capacity for love, resilience and free will.
While searching the elusive Moonstone, he crossed paths with Leah, a passionate astronomer. Unaware of his celestial roots, she helped him decipher human ways and even offered her spare garage as his makeshift earthling abode.
Alaric, in return, taught Leah about cosmic phenomena beyond her understanding, even unravelling truths about dark matter and black holes; a mutual admiration blossomed between them that gradually turned into affection.
On a regular city tour, they stumbled upon an archaeological exhibition featuring an unusual luminous gemstone. Recognising it as the Moonstone, Alaric was overwhelmed but was quick to hide his confusion.
On the pretext of thorough evaluation for research, Leah managed to borrow the gemstone overnight. As the Moonstone revealed itself in full glory under the starlight, Alaric explained its true nature and his mission to Leah, who, shocked initially, decided to help him retrieve the stolen gemstone.
Their mission took a dark turn when Zephlon descended on Earth, his entrance marked by eerie thunderstorms and rapidly declining temperature levels across the world. His form, a swirling whirlwind of dark cosmic energy, was a nightmarish sight. The duo faced countless perils, outmanoeuvring Zephlon's cruel henchmen and braving his energy blasts.
As a final stand against Zephlon, Leah used her knowledge of Earth's magnetic field to build a device. It created an electromagnetic surge so potent that it temporarily unbalanced Zephlon's energy form. Seizing the distraction, Alaric warred and defeated the fallen celestial, thus protecting the galaxy and Earth.
With the Moonstone back in its rightful place, harmony returned among the stars. Alaric had to leave Earth to resume his celestial duty. His farewell with Leah was bittersweet; they were lovers parted by destiny, yet united by their journey.
