Flight of the Star Bound

Once upon a time, in the glorious city of Beamora, there existed an extraordinary machine named 'Star Bound'. Star Bound was an airship, but it was no ordinary airship. It had the power to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
Milo was a humble inventor and the creator of Star Bound. Living in a small hovel on the outskirts of Beamora, he spent his days engrossed in blueprints and littered in shavings of metal, yearning for the day his creation would breathe life. A frenzy of passion and sheer genius, Milo completed his masterpiece after years of relentless hard work and dubbed it the Star Bound. Little aware of the magnificent powers of his creation, Milo was simply elated to see his vision come alive.
The Star Bound was a grand spectacle, a magnificent sight with wings that spanned like an eagle in flight, gears that hummed lullabies of freedom, and windows that reflected dreams not yet dreamt. It was not just a vessel but a breathing entity, reflecting Milo's spirit.
In Beamora, there was a tradition where every year; the most incredible invention was presented to the King. This year, Milo decided to showcase his life's work—Star Bound. He navigated through the curious crowd and informed the King about his unique airship. The King, intrigued by Milo’s audacity and the design of the airship, took it upon himself to test it.
As the King climbed aboard and Milo started the engines, something unprecedented happened. The Star Bound didn’t just start flying, it vanished into thin air. The crowd gasped. A haunting silence filled the city square as the Star Bound disappeared, leaving behind bewilderment and wonder.
Overwhelmed by the sudden turn of events, Milo panicked. But soon, the Star Bound re-emerged from nowhere, as the King sat in the captain's chair, dishevelled yet exhilarated. Astonished, the King revealed that the Star Bound had not just flown, but it had wandered through centuries, explored different eras, and transported him through time and space.
News of this extraordinary vehicle spread across kingdoms, bringing fame and adoration for Milo. However, that fame brought peril as well. Enemies of Beamora, desiring the formidable power of manipulating time, tried capturing Star Bound. Sensing the danger it now posed, Milo was torn between fear for his city and the love for his creation.
He decided to make a sacrifice no artist ever should. He decided to dismantle his masterpiece. As he unscrewed each nut and bolt, he felt a shard of his spirit being taken away. The Star Bound, piece by piece, was slowly returning to mere metal and machinery. However, when Milo was about to remove the temporal gear—the heart of the Star Bound—the airship started showing signs of life by itself.
In that moment, Milo realised the essence of the Star Bound. It was sentient, conscious of the despair surrounding it. It understood that its existence posed a threat to Beamora. The Star Bound yearned to protect the town and its creator just as Milo wished to guard his creation. And so, with Milo's consent, the Star Bound decided to set off on a last journey.
Milo started the engines once more, and said his heartfelt goodbye as the Star Bound started to ascend. The Star Bound flew higher and higher, disappearing, leaving behind trails of stardust. It chose to venture into the endless cosmos, deciding to become a star itself, forever protecting and watching over Beamora, and Milo.
The tale of Milo and the Star Bound became a legend in Beamora. Every night, when a particular twinkling star appeared in the sky, which wasn't there before, people admired it, and recounted the tale of a humble inventor and his extraordinary airship that chose to become a star.
Star Bound's tale was a testament to man's ingenuity, love, and sacrifice, ultimately proving that exploration is not just about discovering new lands, but also about realizing the selflessness within oneself.
