Enoch and the Time Machine
Once upon a time, in a small kingdom called Zendra, a great scientist named Enoch lived. Enoch was known beyond the borders of Zendra for his intellect and inventions. Enoch wasn't just a genius, he was kind-hearted and sensitive, something that endeared him to everyone in Zendra. Yet, he led a lonely life dedicated to his passion - Invention of time travel. He was relentless in his pursuit, a dream that made him an object of mockery but the quiet comfort of his solitude didn’t allow the mockers to reach his vibrant spirit.
The day arrived when Enoch finally invented the Time Machine. The kingdom rejoiced, everyone who once mocked him now applauded his triumph. The king of Zendra, gifted Enoch with precious gifts, yet what Enoch desired wasn't fame or wealth, but a chance to alter the past.
Enoch's mother had died while giving birth to him. His whole life, he carried the guilt of surviving while his mother didn't. Enoch's time machine was not only an epic invention but a symbol of his desire to meet the mother he never knew and change the narrative of their shared fate.
Devoid of fear and fueled by heartache and hope, Enoch entered the machine and set it to the date of his birth. As the machine roared to life, Enoch closed his eyes. The pull of time was forceful but his determination resonated stronger.
When he opened his eyes, he was in his father's humble abode. His father, a young version of the old man he knew, cradled his mother, a beautiful woman with twinkling eyes. Enoch felt a tug in his heart. Tears welled up in his eyes as he met the woman he had longed to call mother.
The young Enoch was about to be born and his mother was evidently in labor. Enoch, armed with medical supplies from his time, rushed to her aid. His father, petrified and thankful, allowed him to take charge.
Hours of tense anticipation turned into joy when Enoch successfully delivered his younger self into the world, ensuring his mother's survival this time. The joy in his father's eyes was unmatched, but the sincerity and love in his mother's eyes as she held the newborn Enoch, made his journey worthwhile.
Enoch spent some time with his parents before returning to his time. For the first time in his life, he was looking forward to his present. He felt complete. As the time machine started humming again, he took a final glance at his mother, silently promising to cherish the memory of her beautiful face, forever.
Enoch returned to the present, this time a different man. His mother was alive and well in his timeline. Her love and warmth filled the void in his life, giving him a sense of belonging he had missed his entire life. His brilliant invention not only changed his life, but he also saved the life of the woman he loved the most.
The story of Enoch teaches us that human emotions give meaning to the most sophisticated scientific pursuits. Every invention carries an emotional motivation behind it, a motivation rooted in love, loss, desires, and sometimes, redemption.
