Elias, The Golden Shoemaker

Once upon a time, in a tiny village lived a young shoemaker named Elias. He took over the family business after his father passed away. Elias was known for his creativity, hardworking nature, and good quality shoes. However, business was often slow as his village was remote and small, and people had limited resources to buy new shoes often.
One day, Elias found a piece of fine, glistening leather in his shop. He had no idea how it got there, but the sight of it boosted his eager creativity. He decided to fashion it into the finest pair of shoes that he could make. He spent countless hours that day working on that pair, neglecting everything else. It was nearing midnight when he finally finished his masterpiece. However, he was too exhausted to set them in the display window and decided to leave it for the next day.
Waking up the next morning, Elias found those shoes missing and, in their place, there was a handful of gold coins. He asked his neighbours if they might know what happened, but all were as puzzled as him. Elias could not understand the mystery behind his overnight fortune, but he was grateful and decided not to question it further.
As days passed, the same phenomenon happened every time he left a pair of shoes overnight. He would find them replaced with gold coins by morning. News spread, and Elias made his village prosperous, and every villager had new shoes. They named him 'Elias, the Golden Shoemaker'. However, the ever-curious Elias wanted to discover the secret benefactor behind his newfound prosperity.
One night, he decided to stay behind in the shop and watch. As midnight struck, he saw two tiny, ragged elves scampering into his shop. They quickly went to work and turned the pair of shoes he left into gold shoes with their magic touch. They then left, leaving the gold shoes for Elias.
Moved by their impoverished state, Elias wanted to thank and help those elves. The next day, he, with the help of his fortune, got tiny clothes, a pair of boots and food prepared for the elves. He left it all in place of his shoes that day. As the elves arrived that night, they were surprised and overjoyed with the gifts.
From that day forward, the elves never returned, but Elias continued to become even more prosperous due to his kind heart and the goodwill he built among his villagers. Even though he never saw them again, Elias would always remember the tiny elves who changed his life.
Years later, Elias found another piece of fine, glistening leather in his shop. He knew it was a gift from his elf friends. He made the finest pair of shoes, just like the old times. As he completed, he closed his eyes, waiting to open them until morning. Upon opening, he had a hearty laugh seeing a bunch of fresh golden shoes with a note, 'To Elias, the Golden Shoemaker, from your benefactors.' It was the same handwriting from his dreams that had been his reality once. The tale of two tiny, magical elves and Elias, the Golden Shoemaker, lived on, passed down through generations in the village.
