Brina - The Youngest Sage of Rosalina
In a remote village nestled between mountains and rivers, called Rosalina, a unique tradition existed. This tradition was unlike any other - when a child turned ten, a great celebration would occur. A celebration named 'The Decade Festival'. The villagers believed that the moment a child became ten, their true potential and destiny were revealed.
On the day of every Decade Festival, the magnificent and majestic village Chief, Gerome, would perform the ancient ritual of destiny unveiling. No one knew what the ritual entailed, for the details were only handed down from chief to chief.
Brina, an ambitious ten-year-old girl, was ecstatic for her upcoming Decade Festival. Different from the ambitious kids of her age, her dreams didn't revolve around becoming a warrior or a scholar, but to become a Sage, an elite group of mystical beings responsible for safeguarding the village against supernatural threats.
The day of Brina's Decade Festival arrived. The sleek sun began to set, casting a soft golden glow over the assembled villagers. Gerome walked towards Brina, holding the ancient artifact known as the 'Glyph of Destiny'. With his deep yet soothing voice, he said, 'Brina, it's time for you to accept your path.'
As Gerome touched the Glyph to Brina's forehead, an ethereal light glowed from it. The crowd looked on in awe and disbelief as the Glyph's glow began to shape into a figure. The object shimmered brighter until it displayed a vibrant image of a Sage.
The crowd erupted in cheers as for the first time in the history of Rosalina, a ten-year-old had been chosen to become a Sage. Brina’s ambition had become her destiny.
The following years passed like a whirlwind as Brina underwent rigorous training, learning spellcraft, herbalism, and many other intricacies of becoming a Sage. Her mentor, an elderly Sage named Lyrith, helped her understand the responsibilities her role entailed and the sacrifices one must make for the greater good. Brina admired Lyrith for her wisdom and courage and aimed to become like her.
But, one day, a monstrous entity erupted out of the depths of the mountain ranges. Lyrith, along with the other Sages, defended Rosalina with all their might. But the monster was far too powerful. In a crucial moment, Lyrith sacrificed herself to seal the entity away, leaving Rosalina vulnerable without the sage power her presence provided.
Brina found herself in front of the village, backed by a crowd of hopeful villagers looking at her, expecting their new Sage. Brina took a deep breath; she was afraid, but the lessons of sacrifice from Lyrith echoed in her mind.
She stood tall, her eyes filled with determination. Chanting the ancient spells, Brina raised her hands, her body radiating an unfathomable energy. She released a blast that slammed into the monster, sealing it back into the depths. The village erupted in cheers anew, their new Sage having saved them.
Brina’s destiny and ambition had become her reality. She wasn't just a young girl with ambitions anymore; she was a Sage. Her courage, strength, and willingness to sacrifice for the greater good were a beacon of inspiration for the villagers and the children dreaming about their Decade Festival. The tale of Brina, the youngest Sage of Rosalina, resonated through the ages, an emblem of inspiration and hope for everyone.
