Alturos, the Dream Weaver
Once upon a time, in a serene village of Eastland called Miringa, untouched by the wrath of urbanization, there prevailed an enchanting tale of a magical creature named Alturos. Alturos was a Dream Weaver, one among the mystical beings, not known to the common man, who had the power to manipulate the dreamscape of humans.
Every night, Alturos would stretch out his celestial wings, his eyes twinkling with stardust, and embark on a journey across the village, sliding seamlessly into the dreams of the villagers. With his magical power, he wove dreams of joy, hope, and aspiration, helping the villagers live through beautiful experiences, solve their deep-rooted problems or simply aspire for more.
Among the villagers, there was a twelve-year-old boy, Timothy. Looking at his witty eyes and radiant smile, no one could particularly identify the turmoil the boy was trapped within- the grief caused by his father's death the previous year. To escape this reality, Timothy used to eagerly wait for nightfall and the dreams Walturus would bring.
One evening, Walturus, while weaving dreams, sensed a strong darkness enveloping Timothy's dream. He observed Timothy's repetitive dream of seeing his father in agony and death. It stirred Walturus’s heart, and he decided to delve deeper into Timothy’s world.
Alturos visited Timothy’s dreams every night, portraying beautiful experiences with his father, converting his distress into peace. Yet, every dawn, Timothy woke up with a heartbreaking sigh. It became evident that the wounds were too deep to be healed by blissful dreams.
Alturos decided to intervene in a different, radical way.
Venturing into the risky domain of reality, Alturos appeared to Timothy in the form of his father in broad day. Initially, Timothy felt shocked and terrified. However, seeing his father's smiling face, he gradually settled into a realm of comfort. Alturos, keeping Timothy's father's love alive, began to discuss dreams, aspirations, and death with the young boy.
One day, after a deep discussion about life and death, he folded an origami bird and magically brought it to life. The bird took off, carried toward the sky's endless blue. Pointing at the flying bird, Alturos explained, 'Our loved ones, just like this bird, are set free after their role in the physical world is accomplished. They are not gone; they are just unbound and free, living among us in our memories, in the air we breathe, in the beauty we see.'
The bond between Timothy and Alturos grew. The two of them spent many sunsets together, discussing dreams, reality, life, and death, fortifying the presence of love amidst everything. One brilliant afternoon, Alturos, in his father's form, hugged Timothy, saying, 'Remember, son, love, once given, can never be taken back. It always persists. Always.'
With that, Alturos returned to his realm, setting both Timothy and himself free. The experience transformed Timothy; he developed a profound understanding of life, loss, and love. The boy who was once trapped in grief grew up to be a beloved storyteller of Miringa, recounting the tale of the Dream Weaver who helped a child move on.
Alturos, the Dream Weaver, continued weaving dreams, but with a heart much lighter and brighter. He learned that sometimes, a single story in the real world could impact numerous dreams.
