Adelina's Aura of Triumph

Once upon a time in a kingdom far beyond the reach of ordinary folks lay a secret, majestic city named Adelina. It was hidden from the prying eyes of the outside world by an enchanting, and formidable range of mountains. The city was known for its vibrant colours, exquisite culture, and incredible people fortified with powerful and divine magic.
Adelina had a unique tradition. Every sixteen years, the kingdom would hold a grand competition – 'The Aura of Triumph'. The competition was open to all the sixteen-year-olds in the city, where each participant had to demonstrate their magical prowess. The one, who showed the most unique and ingenious use of magic, would have the honour to receive the ‘Glorister Crown’- a symbol of respect and power from the reigning monarch.
The time for the Aura of Triumph arrived, and the city buzzed with excitement. Of all the contenders, two stood out - the kind-hearted sorceress Alma, and the intelligent wizard Tarquin. Alma had the ability to manipulate and talk to nature, while Tarquin could wield time and space. However, the most interesting part was their friendship. They were inseparable, always seeking to help and learn from each other.
The competition began amidst roaring cheers. One by one, each participant showcased their magic, leaving everyone awe-struck. But the real anticipation was building up for Alma and Tarquin.
Alma went first. Using her nature-controlling skills, she demonstrated a heart-wrenching scene of a burning forest, the sufferings of flora and fauna, and finally its revival, demonstrating the circle of life. Her act portrayed the destructive and constructive aspects of nature in harmony, leaving everyone overwhelmed with its sheer power and beauty.
Then came Tarquin. People watched with bated breath as he manipulated time and space. He transported the audience into the depths of the ocean and then soared them high into the galaxies. He showed them the mysteries of the universe, the past, the present, and even the uncertain future.
After all the feats of magic had been displayed, the time to announce the winner finally came, and much to everyone's surprise, it wasn't an outright victory for either Alma or Tarquin. The judges – the council of Archmagi, announced that the competition would continue into sudden death - a dual finale between Alma and Tarquin.
Alma and Tarquin briefly exchanged an apprehensive look. Despite their competitiveness, their friendship remained tightly knit. They vowed to each other and to all the people of Adelina that their challenge would be a celebration of their magic, regardless of who would win.
The final act took everyone's breath away. Alma and Tarquin combined their unique powers to transport the audience back in time. They showed the founding of their city, the battles it had won, the kings and queens who had ruled, and the prosperity it enjoyed. Then they projected Adelina's future, a kingdom flourishing with magic, expanded beyond the mountains, open to the world that lay beyond.
As the display came to an end, the city roared in applause. The council had a solemn expression on their faces, struck by the display of unity and spirit. They called Alma and Tarquin to the podium and announced, 'For the first time in the history of our great Adelina, the Glorister Crown shall be worn by two heads.'
That day, the city lustrously celebrated Alma and Tarquin's friendship, lauding and embedding their names in Adelina's history making them a symbol of unity, strength and friendship alongside their irrefutable magical prowess.
