A Symphony of Tears

In a small town nestled on the outskirts of Norwich, lived a prodigious violinist, Elara. Essentially, she was just like any other girl of 18, full of dreams and aspirations, but there was an unnerving mystery that set her apart - Elara cried crystal tears.
In the heart of the town square, there was an ancient wooden stage where Elara performed each Sunday. Townsfolk, from every corner, were drawn to her enchanting melodies. Her music was mystical, weaving a trance on her audience. The performances were always exceptional but concluded on a mysterious note. As Elara struck the final chord, a teardrop would inevitably kiss her cheek, solidify into a luminous crystal, and fall onto her violin.
Elara's mother, a former violinist herself and a woman of remarkable beauty and resilience, never questioned the peculiarity of her daughter's tears. She believed them to be a manifestation of the divine gift of music bestowed upon Elara. However, despite the town's unwavering love for her music, Elara's crystal tears were often a matter of speculation amongst the curious town-resistant.
One day, a traveling wanderer, Jasper, passing through the town, heard of the captivating violinist whose music bore a crystalline charm. Intrigued, he made his way to the square on a Sunday, loitering at the back of the crowd. He was quickly captivated by Elara's melody and enthralled by the spectacle of her crystal tears. However, his curiosity cloaked as concern, and he approached Elara after her performance.
'Why do you shed these crystal tears?' he asked her, picking up a crystal from her violin. Elara looked at him, her azure eyes glowing with a mixture of surprise and uncertainty. 'I believe they are the tears of my soul, yearning for a melody that has not yet been found,' she said, sharing this secret with a stranger for the first time.
Intrigued by her response, Jasper decided to uncover the melody that Elara's soul was yearning for and stayed back in the town. He spent his days learning about the different types of music, asking the townsfolk about their preferences, and his nights were spent under the stars, trying to compose a melody. All in the hopes of creating a song that would no longer make Elara cry crystal tears.
Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months. Finally, on a chilly Sunday, with a melody in his heart, Jasper approached Elara. Without uttering a word, he gave her the sheet of music he had composed. As she began to play, the townsfolk were mesmerized. It was a melody that echoed the town's heart, an anthem they did not know they had.
Everyone held their breath as Elara hit the last note. The crowd looked on in anticipation, but there was no crystal tear. Elara was ecstatic and astonished. She turned to Jasper, her eyes now welled up with tears of joy, clear and sparkling. The crowd broke into applause, the echo almost shaking the heart of the town.
As the applause died down, Elara found Jasper quietly backing away into the crowd. She ran to him and thanked him for the melody that her soul had been yearning for. Jasper, gave her a reassuring smile and with a nod, retreated into his anonymosity.
And there, under the starlit sky, Elara then played the new melody again. For the first time, her performance did not conclude with a crystal tear. Instead, every note resonated with the lilt of her newfound joy, echoing the rhythm of her heart, free of yearning. The unnamed melody gifted by Jasper was now the Symphony of her life. The crystal tears were no more, but her music was enchanting, nonetheless.
