Once upon a time, in the picturesque city of Veridian, nestled within the blue-green mountains, lived a young boy named Evan. Orphaned at an early age, Evan's life was heavily influenced by the tales of compelling quests and magnificent valor that his parents used to share with him.
Evan was especially struck by the story of the Shadows, ethereal creatures that held the power to grant a single wish if one successfully journeyed through the Shadow Mountains.
